"477 Days" is a documentary film that was aired on January 30, 2025 on Kan 11. It is the story of three out of the five female soldiers who were abducted by Hamas terrorists on October 7th from the fortified observation post at Nahal Oz. Daniela Gilboa and Karina Aryev, best friends who had served together at the post for nearly a year, were kidnapped together, along with private Liri Elbag, who had arrived at the base for the first time on Thursday, and was kidnapped on Saturday. This is the first time in Israel's history that female IDF soldiers have been kidnapped. In the film "477 Days", we follow the three families who are doing everything they can to bring their loved ones back home. From protests to meetings to prayers, the families share their unbearable pain, fears and anxieties about what their daughters are enduring. The mothers are at the forefront of the struggle, speaking about the shattered lives of their families during the most difficult and horrifying time for them and their daughters, and the immense fear that their daughters might return pregnant or not return at all. The film ends with the return of the observers. We follow, together with the three families, in anticipation and excitement, the pivotal moment, the moment when the deal is sealed, until the joyful and emotional moment when the girls return and receive a big hug from their mothers and return to the embrace of their beloved families. The film was created by Noa Aharoni and produced by Kastina Communications.
